About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Houston’s vibrant Bellaire Boulevard, One Hot Pot and Grill offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience that seafood lovers and adventurous eaters alike will appreciate. Specializing in hot pot and grilled Vietnamese dishes, this restaurant masterfully blends bold flavors with fresh, high-quality ingredients to create a menu that is both enticing and comforting.

The culinary journey at One Hot Pot and Grill centers around their diverse offerings that range from classic grilled specialties to sumptuous hot pots. Highlights include the irresistibly tender Grilled Squid Korean Style, the rich and garlicky So Diệp Grill Scallops with Garlic Butter, and the delightfully chewy and savory Escargot. For those eager to explore deeper Vietnamese flavors, the Grilled Snails with Lemongrass and Snails with Coconut Milk offer a delightfully unique taste experience that customers praise for their authenticity. The Bot Chien – crispy rice cakes – deliver a satisfyingly crunchy texture layered with fragrant, savory notes.

One Hot Pot and Grill’s hot pot selections like the hearty Surf and Turf Hot Pot and the fragrant Lau Ta Pin Lu Seafood Lover provide warm, communal dining perfect for groups and family gatherings. These slow-simmered broths are infused with layers of fresh herbs and spices, creating deeply flavorful bases that envelop an impressive variety of seafood and meats. Though some guests find the broth intensifies in saltiness as it reduces, the overall hot pot experience remains comforting and richly satisfying.

The grilled dishes deserve special mention for their masterful seasoning and smoky char. Try the Grilled Quail with Fried Sticky Rice, or the spicy Grilled Chicken Feet with Chili Salt, both dishes embodying traditional Vietnamese grilled cuisine with a contemporary flair. The meticulous balance of heat and herbs across these plates leaves a lasting impression.

Quenching your thirst comes in the form of unique beverage options such as the distinctively sweet and smooth Ca Phe Trung (Egg Foam Coffee), the refreshing Nuoc Mia (Sugar Cane Juice), and a selection of fruity teas like juicy Lychee Fruit Tea and tropical Mango Tea. These drinks complement the bold flavors of the food and provide a refreshing contrast.

The ambiance at One Hot Pot and Grill blends a casual yet inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for both intimate meals and lively group dinners. While some diners have noted the service can be a little slow during peak times, the attentive staff strives to make your visit enjoyable and memorable.

Customers repeatedly rave about the authentic Vietnamese taste and fresh seafood quality. As one guest shared, the grilled quail, shrimp, and short ribs burst with flavor, evoking the feeling of a home-cooked meal full of vibrant notes and comforting familiarity. Another enthusiastic diner proclaimed the rendition of lẩu Thái (Thai-style hot pot) flawlessly captured the authentic taste they missed from Vietnam, while others delight in the carefully prepared grilled apple snails and quail eggs stir-fried with tamarind sauce—dishes that promise an adventurous yet approachable culinary journey.

One Hot Pot and Grill stands as a culinary gem for both the Vietnamese community craving nostalgic flavors and newcomers eager to explore the nuanced, hearty, and delicious world of Vietnamese hot pot and grilled seafood. The combination of well-seasoned grills, rich hot pots, and unique beverages makes each visit an immersive and satisfying experience that invites you back again and again.

Visited One Hot Pot and Grill because a friend had suggested it before. The qual, shrimp, short ribs were all delicious and flavorful. It was my first time trying out snail and I enjoyed the experience for the most part. The flavor was great however the texture was a bit chewy for my taste. The hotpot was good, but as the broth reduced, it got pretty salty. The service was attentive with the ambiance being welcoming.

A seafood restaurant with a diverse menu of Vietnamese dishes. I really like the ambiance and the seasoning here. I ordered crawfish, grilled apple snails with fish sauce and pepper, bamboo spring rolls, grilled oysters, quail eggs stir-fried with tamarind, crispy chicken cartilage with garlic, and grilled squid skewers.

The food here was amazing! I was craving some lẩu Thái like I had back in Vietnam, and this place nailed it—exact same flavor I’ve been missing! I also tried the fried rice, which was perfectly crunchy and reminded me of home. I’ll for sure be coming back! Best part—it’s still their soft opening, so the prices weren’t too much. I’ll for sure be coming back!

Seasoning is on point! Can’t go wrong with any seafood orders. Will be back to try their hot pot. A bit slow customer service when I dined because there was only one server took care everyone.

This restaurant has some amazing Vietnamese-style seafood! Everything I ordered was not only fresh but tasty. Furthermore, the presentation of the food was quite appealing to the eye. Do keep in mind that they are a tad on the expensive side. They also serve hot pot, but it’s unlikely as good as their individual dishes.

I love this place!!! The deep fried chicken feet has the perfect crunch. Morning glory is good. Clams are always on point. Sometimes I get the hotpot as well which is perfect size for 2-4 people

Had my first hot pot in Houston. Was looking for Vietnamese style hot pot. I had a "sea food lover" one with Korean short ribs. Those are the best I had so far perfectly done. The hot pot was very good and meat is amazing. I had a great time, the staff is super friendly and smiling. Definitely coming back to taste the beef hot pot with bone narrow. Came here a second time after the management changed. I gotta say the service has been mediocre and sloppy. Vibes and food is good but they can improve on the level of service
